The 2021 season should see Kyle Busch become the 31st driver to crack 600 starts. He enters the season at 570 NASCAR Cup Series starts to date. See the full list of drivers to make at least 600 NASCAR Cup Series starts.

In the 2021 season, the model has correctly predicted at least seven top-10 finishers in four of the last seven races! And two weeks ago, McClure nailed Martin Truex Jr. to win at Martinsville for a strong 3-1 payout. Anybody who has followed it has seen HUGE returns!

There has been a lot of discussion on our NASCAR Heat channels about the 2021 season DLC update. We have taken the decision to focus on the future of the franchise and as a result, we are unable to provide the 2021 DLC in any future NH4 updates.

Newman was racing in front of the field for position, something he's not a stranger to at Daytona, and made contact with Ryan Blaney that sent him airborne and flipping through the air. Once the dust settled, Newman did not climb out of his car. NASCAR immediately rushed onto the scene and pulled him out of the vehicle before rushing him to a Daytona area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The sport adjusted rather quickly, running the first iRacing event just 10 days after postponing the season on March 13th. Cup driver William Byron dominated most of the events while lesser-named drivers like Timmy Hill were able to garner some exposure.

This was not a lost season for Harvick, rather a situation where he couldn't close the deal. Harvick passed Tony Stewart, Junior Johnson, Ned Jarrett, Lee Petty, Rusty Wallace and Kyle Busch to move into ninth on the all-time wins list with 58. He now seriously has a shot of passing the next driver on the list, Dale Earnhardt, who has 76.

After the COVID-19 hiatus, NASCAR used a random draw to determine the starting lineup. They eventually announced a metric-based qualifying system. Which of the following was NOT used as one of the metrics?

Apparently, the Richard Childress Racing team and NASCAR’s R&D department built the chassis prototype

DiBenedetto took a big swing with strategy during the first stage when he took just two tires on a pit stop. It cycled him into the lead briefly but 11 drivers on a full set of fresh tires passed him and DiBenedetto ended the stage 12th and ineligible for bonus points.

Crafton again did exactly what he needed to do in the finale, racing at the front of the field all night long on his way to a runner-up finish, beating out the other three Championship 4 contenders. His third title safely in the bag, Crafton is in rarified company, joining four-time champion Ron Hornaday and fellow three-time champion Jack Sprague as the only drivers to win more than two titles in the series’ 24-year history.

Of course, this isn’t the only reason why MTJ is playable in Saturday’s Michigan race

Neither of the two early favorites to win the race sealed the deal. Denny Hamlin managed a runner-up finish and Kevin Harvick worked his way back to 5th via his team’s strategy. Hamlin’s Stage 1 win evened the playoff point race with Harvick, though Denny holds the tiebreaker advantage having won one more race with just six to go before the postseason. Brad’s New Hampshire win is his third on the season, propelling him into their rear view mirror. Keselowski is now only 6 playoff points behind those two. The race for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Championship is undoubtedly heating up.

Following the pandemic-induced hiatus, the return of the 2021 NASCAR season included numerous changes to the schedule. It started with five races in two weeks, all of them without fans in the stands. A few weeks later, NASCAR (https://kislovoadmin.ru/hack/?patch=700) had its first night race at Martinsville, which added lights in 2021.

Since four straight finishes in the 10th-12th range in 2021 & 2021, the 3X Michigan winner has comfortably cracked the Top 10 three times in the last two years. Running out of fuel last August was a blemish to his highly-desired consistency. Kurt has experienced plenty of highs and lows on this 2-mile track, though his level of performance appears to have plateaued during his Stewart-Haas and Chip Ganassi tenures. Enough so to where I consider this to be on the list of Busch’s Top 10 tracks. Consider this in conclusion: Kurt has been in the Top 5 in six of the last eight stages at Michigan, including all four Stage 2s. The Outlaw has been a cash cow in these spots over the last couple years, and I put him on a 60% chance of converting Saturday.

Outlook: Keselowski enters the 2021 season riding a nine-year streak with at least one victory in each season. For the third time in four years, the 2021 champion was eliminated in the Round of 12. Keselowski should extend his consecutive seasons with a win mark and make the playoffs. The big question is how well will Keselowski and Bullins mesh after the driver and Wolfe were able to strategize their way to some big wins. The Keselowski-Bullins duo combined for 14 wins in the Xfinity ranks together.

The announcement comes less than a year after the $178 million renovation of the track was completed. The changes included a one-of-a-kind fan zone on the infield and updates to the grandstand, moves geared toward bettering the fan experience.

The move was made possible thanks to the many sponsors Wallace brought to the table. Jordan and Hamlin named the team 23XI Racing and partnered with Joe Gibbs Racing to become a Toyota alliance team. Wallace elected to use Jordan's No. 23 as his car number for next season.

NASCAR Racing 2003 Season / NR2003 Patch

The sport then traveled to Talladega Superspeedway where coincidentally a member of Wallace's racing team discovered a rope fashioned as a noose in the team's assigned garage. NASCAR made the media aware of it almost immediately, explaining that the sport was outraged and fully condemns racism. The sport also alerted the FBI, who launched an investigation that determined Wallace was not the subject of a hate crime.

The sports world offered condolences and prayers to Newman, as many worried the outcome was gruesome. However, in just days Newman was able to walk out of the hospital alongside his daughters and revealed he suffered a concussion.

Now it’s time for Newman to battle in The Coliseum and his Bristol resume isn’t mind-blowing. But it’s duly noted that he will drive his ass off on the half-mile and is not going to give up position without a fight. Since leaving Penske Racing in 2009, Newman failed to finish only once in 22 Bristol races. Otherwise, he’s finished 16th or better in 20 of those contests with twelve Top 10s. Don’t underestimate his value in matchups this weekend.

One other driver with NASCAR at Kansas odds longer than 10-1 to make a serious run at the checkered flag

Hamlin had the second-most wins on the season with seven. His first win came in the Daytona 500 and he also won at the other plate track in Talladega. Hamlin also won at Dover for the first time.

A prime example of a driver being on the same page with his team is Kevin Harvick, who had Top 5 finishes in all six of the doubleheader races this season. This includes wins at Pocono and at Darlington in the first race back from the hiatus. Michigan is a totally different track from Darlington, Charlotte, and Pocono though. All four tracks are notably different from one another, and The Closer has things on lock here too. If you want to back him this weekend, you better be prepared to pay a premium to do so. It won’t help that he’s the last Cup Series winner at this track.

The track already hosts the Ticket Guardian 500, which will remain, and the second-to-last race weekend. The changes come as part of widespread revamping of the season's schedule, including having the championship race take place at a track other than Miami Homestead for the first time since 2002.

The start to Ryan Blaney’s season was full of highs that quickly turned to lows. Like Chase Elliott, Blaney had two straight shots at victories snatched right out from underneath him. He returns from the break and just gets by in the Darlington races. Then Blaney gets his stuff together and shows up with two 3rd place finishes in the Charlotte contests. Ryan has never cracked the Top 10 at Darlington and Charlotte has been almost as tough, so what did you expect out of the #12 Mustang? There are valid arguments for and against his form in relation to Truex, but that may not matter so much.

Nascar Racing 2003 Season Patch - NO CD Multiplayer Utility **Works With Vista**

The biggest change as it pertains to the Cup Series playoffs, many say, is the fact that Daytona's second date on the schedule is now the last race of the regular season. Such an unpredictable and wide-open event being the last chance for teams to make the playoffs is a formula for made-for-TV chaos.

Harvick held off a charging Kyle Busch over the final 40 laps Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway for his career-best and Cup Series-high ninth victory of the season. He did it in front of a sold-out crowd of 30,000 spectators, the most Bristol was allowed to admit and the largest crowd since March.

The 35-year-old Phoenix, Arizona native finished in 23rd place in the championship standings. His previous top finish in the standings had been his 26th place finishes in 2021 and 2021. Since entering the sport in 2005, team owner Bob Jenkins had never had a driver finish that high in the standings, save for when Chris Buescher scored an upset win at Pocono Raceway in 2021 and locked himself into the playoffs and therefore into the top 16.

Despite a public apology, Larson was suspended by NASCAR and released by Chip Ganassi Racing

Denny Hamlin, considered the closest challenger to Harvick this year, closed out a sub-par opening round of the playoffs with a 21st-place finish. His Toyota also failed pre-race inspection and Hamlin started at the back, but he’s been unable through three playoff races to crack the top 10.

One shocker: the model is high on Kyle Busch, even though he's a 12-1 long shot in the latest NASCAR (click here to find out more) at Kansas odds 2021. Busch a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. Although he is still searching for his first victory this season (https://kislovoadmin.ru/hack/?patch=4274), Busch enters Sunday's 2021 Buschy McBusch Race 400 ranked 11th in the NASCAR Cup Series standings.

The problem is, success is a fleeting concept at Bristol Motor Speedway. A good example is the formerly-retired Matt Kenseth, now behind the wheel of the #42 Camaro. Kenseth has four Bristol wins, including three night races and the 2021 Food City 500. The two most recent wins came somewhat surprisingly at the tail end of his career. A four race stretch spanning the 2021 and 2021 seasons included those two wins and a 3rd place finish. That streak came smack dab in the middle of five races where his best finish by far was 25th. In those stinkers, Kenseth got bounced twice from accidents and once with an engine failure despite leading 252 laps in three of those five. Bristol will giveth, then taketh right back in a hurry.

Most people will remember this event for that noose that caused an FBI investigation, initially thought to be aimed at Bubba Wallace. The photos of driver solidarity pushing Wallace's car to the grid kept NASCAR in the national spotlight for positive reasons just two weeks after a controversial Confederate flag ban. But all that off-track commotion overshadowed what many felt was the best pack race this century.

Bowyer had been extremely competitive during the season and even made it to the playoffs this year. However, he was ultimately eliminated after the Round of 12. Most people will agree though that Bowyer brought a lot of life and personality into the sport in a time where people could use a good laugh.

Other drivers who should contend for the title include Halmar Racing’s Stewart Friesen, who earned a pair of victories in 2021, and ThorSport’s Grant Enfinger, himself the 2021 ARCA Menards Series champion. Friesen, a dirt track ace, earned his first series win on the dirt at Eldora and backed it up with a come-from-behind win at Phoenix to lock into the Championship 4. Enfinger won the regular-season championship but saw his title hopes go up in a cloud of smoke with an engine failure at Las Vegas.

JJ’s history on the NASCAR circuit includes 36 Cup Series races at Bristol with a pair of wins

Even with all of the disruptions and changes, and a couple of highly publicized incidents not related to what was happening on the track, the 2021 Cup Series provided more than its fair share of fantastic finishes, although there was more than one dud as well. Here's a rundown of the three best and three worst races from the 2021 season.

It is often said that invention is the mother of necessity. NASCAR (https://kislovoadmin.ru/hack/?patch=3561) responded to the COVID curveball by scheduling mid-week races and weekend doubleheaders. With just six races to go before the playoffs, things look positive for completing the 2021 Cup season (https://kislovoadmin.ru/hack/?patch=1157). This weekend, Michigan International Speedway hosts the FireKeepers Casino 400 on Saturday and the Consumers Energy 400 on Sunday. NASCAR was also able to integrate fans into certain races based upon local laws and regulations. Bristol's All-Star race, originally planned for Charlotte, allowed 30,000 fans to attend which was by far the largest attended sporting event of the pandemic.

After Truex met my expectations last weekend at New Hampshire, I have no problems jumping back on the #19 Toyota. Of course, this isn’t the only reason why MTJ is playable in Saturday’s Michigan race. His opponent, Kyle Busch has run into quite a bit of trouble in recent weeks – some of which has been unfortunate and some is attributable to unforced errors. To Kyle’s credit, we’ve seen him drive out of some sticky spots as well. I am discounting Busch’s “buy low” potential this week by playing against him in this matchup. Another option is to lay him to finish outside the Top 5, though I advise against laying too much juice. After all, Kyle can jump up and bite when you least expect it.

Kevin Harvick celebrates winning the NASCAR Cup Series auto race Saturday, Sept. 19, 2021, in Bristol, Tenn

Quotable: “Last year was a good year for us but it wasn’t great. Penske has made a number of changes to all the teams because good isn’t good enough I think I’ve heard my boss say. We want to win the championship. We didn’t have a car in the final four and that’s unacceptable to us. Our goal is to win a lot of races and championships. We are going to push really hard for that.

Let’s get positive and recognize that Bowyer is a gladiator in Bristol’s Coliseum. He’s the kind of driver that can keep a scraped up stock car on the lead lap with the best of them. Evidence: only twice has Clint failed to finish in 28 races in Thunder Valley. Despite never having won a Cup Series race at Bristol, he’s finished in the Top 10 in over half of those contests. Bowyer’s current tenure in the Stewart-Haas #14 Mustang has been even better with five Top 10s in six races. After last weekend’s smoked out performance and Thursday’s pit road speeding penalties, you better believe ol’ Clint Bowyer is gonna be ready to roll. My wife is more of a hater; she’s posted odds of 4/1 that Bowyer’s Mustang will (literally) be on fire again Sunday.

Chase Elliott became the third youngest driver in NASCAR history to win a title at 24-years-old

One thing that should not go unnoticed is that Logano’s promising season fell on tougher times after the restart. His two wins in the first four races this year set a torrid pace that makes the current stretch seem disappointing. In fact, things have not gone much better for Joey Logano since the restart than they have for Kyle Busch. I must say that he’s produced some strong runs recently, notwithstanding the tire blowout that knocked him out at Kansas. This could be a good spot to boost his confidence for the upcoming playoffs.

Erik Jones, who is not eligible for the playoffs, finished third for Joe Gibbs Racing and was followed by rookie Tyler Reddick and playoff contenders Aric Almirola and Clint Bowyer. They were the only drivers on the lead lap.

Season Finale 500: Race

Assuming Clint gets his pit road speed straightened out, I’m putting him on a 55-65% range to finish Top 10. His matchup prices were disappointingly expensive, excepting one against Matt DiBenedetto. Matty D is not a driver I am looking to fade this weekend -106 is a mildy-juiced price on a guy who has gotten it done in six of the last eight Bristol spring races.

Chase Briscoe battled it out with one of the best in Kyle Busch in the closing laps at Darlington Raceway earlier this year. The Xfinity Series title contender took on the 2x Cup Series champion and prevailed in one of the more entertaining back-and-forth battles of the season.

Three top 10 finishes had been his career-best over a two-year span entering the year. Most impressively, he recorded four in 2021 without relying on superspeedways, as he finished in eighth place at Pocono Raceway, a season-high seventh at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 10th at the Daytona International Speedway road course and 10th at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The Elliotts join the Pettys and Jarretts as the third father-son duo to win a NASCAR Cup Series title

During the 2021 season, the model has correctly predicted at least seven top-10 finishers in four of the last seven races. Two weeks ago, it had Martin Truex Jr. at the top of its projected leaderboard at Martinsville, nailing his victory for a 3-1 payout. Anybody who has followed it has seen huge returns.

Kyle Busch on contact with Creed: ‘Got drilled in the left rear’ - Provided by NASCAR

Let’s get straight to the point so we can dig into Michigan. Our New Hampshire betting card was short with just two plays for the second week in a row. That’s not a bad thing when it yields another 2-0 result. The final long push of green flag racing extended Aric Almirola’s lead to five seconds over his foe Chase Elliott in our sole matchup play. Position two called for Martin Truex, Jr. to finish in the Top 5, which he did comfortably. MTJ persevered through an early pit penalty to push his way back to the front, where he settled in nicely for a convincing 3rd place finish.

NASCAR Racing 2003 Season GAME PATCH v.

It’s common knowledge in the NASCAR garages that Ryan Newman is one tough bugger to pass. Then came the 2021 Daytona 500 and pretty much everybody saw that this guy is tough as nails. Sure, he missed the next three races while recovering, and then there was the COVID-19 hiatus, but that’s still a quick recuperation. We were happy to see that he returned to much fanfare from his peers and racing fans alike. Newman looked respectable in the two Darlington races with 15th and 14th place finishes. Those results more or less meet expectations in a normal season, but count as exceeding them, considering Daytona. Repeated battery issues plagued his Coca-Cola 600 but on Thursday, he returned to his 2021 form with a 17th place finish. That seems par for the course, because it’s been a while since Charlotte treated him well.

I’m all ears for a good argument why Chase is up there with these guys. Especially considering that he is priced cheaper than MTJ, who has been much closer to winning at Michigan and is in better form.

Whatever the reason, Kevin Harvick as an underdog to MTJ in this spot is a no-brainer play for us

NASCAR came ready with a plan to keep competition going as they introduced the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series, which featured drivers from the top series and retired drivers such as Dale Earnhardt Jr. competing in virtual racing events. While there were no other sports going on, iRacing allowed sports fans a sense of normalcy to watch on Sundays and sportsbooks even provided odds to wager on the races.

Team strength: When it comes to style of racing, the team strength is at superspeedways. All three drivers are always in the mix for wins in those races. Even though the organization shuffled the crew chiefs around, continuity still exists at Penske as the organization has had the same three drivers and crew chiefs since Blaney came over to drive the third car at the start of the 2021 season. There’s value in having people that are simply used to working with each other.

Wallace received support from his fellow drivers during multiple incidents, including attacks from President Donald Trump. In September, Wallace signed with Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s newly formed NASCAR Cup Series team for 2021.

Moffitt also won four times in 2021 with his new team. It took him until the 10th race of the season, at Iowa, before he cracked into the victory column, but he stayed in contention for the title throughout the season, ultimately finishing third in the standings after running fifth at Homestead.

I saw this matchup early Saturday morning and had to take another swig of coffee before refreshing my screen. There are a number of large prices in the matchup offerings, but this one really surprised me. Why is Matt Kenseth such a big favorite? I’ve already commented on the periods of success that Kenseth has had at Bristol. He’s in Kyle Larson’s #42, which was quite good here the last three years. Larson was runner up in both 2021 Bristol races and produced three more Top 10s in that six-race stretch. The problem is that Matt has struggled after his 10th place finish in the Darlington comeback. Now you have a guy fresh out of retirement who is racing in his fifth Cup Series race in just fourteen days. Newman’s consistency tilts the favor sharply toward him in a big plus-money matchup that we cannot pass up.

Kurt Busch sits tenth on the Top 10 odds board at BetRivers as of Wednesday evening. The large gap between him at +105 and Aric Almirola at -195 implies that there is a strong group of nine who they’ve pegged as the strongest contenders in the race. This is consistent with the odds to win the race, so I don’t see any pricing discrepancies between those two markets. That said, I really think this book is undervaluing Kurt’s ability to finish in the Top 10 on Saturday. Again, consistency is tough to find here – even with the top dogs.

Johnson plans to run an IndyCar schedule next year and is honed in on running marquee racing events not just limited to NASCAR. As for Bowyer, he plans to make the move to the full-time broadcasting business next season as he transitions away from full-time racing.

Here's a complete rundown of all the races on tap for this year's NASCAR Cup Series

The downside is that he fell outside the Top 10 in the 2021 & 2021 races. Another reason why I like this matchup position is that even in those lackluster years, Truex still beat out Busch in one of the four contests. Martin swept his counterpart in all six races during those three primo seasons. Granted, he edged Kyle one by only one or two positions in three of them. Our friend @NASCARstyleodds had a quick winner going against Kyle last week, but I can’t reasonably expect that again considering how hard it is to bust Busch out of a race.

Busch, who failed inspection twice before the race and drove from the back of the field to lead in his Toyota, was disappointed to finish second. Busch took aim at Joey Logano, who failed to move out of the way as Harvick and Busch battled for the lead — “he’s nobody’s friend for a reason” — as well as younger drivers Garrett Smithley and Joey Gase.

Fresh off of a dominant win, Brad Keselowski heads back to his home state of Michigan for a NASCAR weekend doubleheader. These races will be shortened to 312 miles to accommodate the compressed schedule. Hey, it’s the reality of things right now and kudos to NASCAR for pulling off an entire season after the long layoff. Last month’s Pocono Double gave us somewhat of a feel for how teams adapt to this reduced-mileage format. If there is any broad-brushed statement I drew from Pocono, it’s that the well managed teams who have a good car for the 400s will be competitive in the shorter races. Crew chief, engineer, and driver must be in sync to be good in the unusual format on both days.

The second round of the playoffs begin next Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the opener of the most challenging three-race series. The playoffs go from Las Vegas to Talladega Superspeedway and then end at Charlotte Motor Speedway on the combination road course and oval.

We had plenty of options to choose from but here are some of the race outcomes that stuck in our memories the most. The first was when rookie Cole Custer won at Kentucky as a 250-to-1 long shot. Custer helped a William Hill Sportsbook bettor take home $25,000 on a $100 wager after climbing from sixth to first place in the final two laps of the Quaker State 400.

What’s new: The biggest change at Penske is the crew chief shuffle that was announced last month that sees Bullins moving from Blaney to Keselowski, Gordon moving from Logano to Blaney and Wolfe moving from Keselowski to Logano. The road and pit crews will follow their crew chiefs from the 2021 season.

Kyle Busch has placed 6th or better in the last four Michigan races. Considering that he has three straight Top 3 finishes at the other 2-mile track, Auto Club Speedway, you could say that the 2021 Cup Champion digs this layout. He’s been more bust than boom this season since Atlanta, so is he untouchable at this point? Most of us participating in any market-based endeavor are looking for buy low scenarios.

The kicker in this matchup is how good MTJ has been since the Indy debacle. In addition to getting wiped out by Kyle at Texas, Martin delivered a runner up and a pair of 3rd place finishes. Also consider how he started from the rear last August and finished 4th, beating out Kyle by two positions. He pulled off a similar comeback last week at New Hampshire by overcoming a loose tire penalty to finish 3rd comfortably. Despite my position, I will never underestimate Kyle Busch’s determination to get back to the winner’s circle. He will scratch and claw to the finish. MTJ is dialed in right now and has proven to be a contender in recent years at Michigan, which is why I like him to outrace teammate Kyle Busch.
